Five small sensors learn their daily routine. You see they're up and about, and you hear straight away if something isn't right. Nothing to wear, nothing to press, from under £1 a day.
Did she get up? Has he eaten? Was that the phone ringing out again?
A phone call every few days covers a few minutes. Hearth covers the rest of the day, quietly, so you're not guessing.

Lying unfound for over an hour after a fall raises the risk of serious harm
One incident isn't a crisis. What matters is a pattern that changes over weeks or months.
Post unopened, bins not out, dishes piling up.
The house feels chilly, the heating isn't managed.
Slower on the stairs, a mention of a fall.
Calling less, seeing fewer people.
Missed tablets, doors left unlocked, meals skipped.
More trips to the bathroom, restless, confused on waking.
Five small sensors, a little hub, and software that learns what a normal day looks like. Then it tells you, plainly, when today doesn't.
Small motion sensors in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and lounge, and a contact sensor on the front door, pick up the shape of an ordinary day: when the kettle goes on, the usual trip out, a settled night. Nothing to wear, nothing to charge, nothing to remember.
Each day is compared with weeks of Mum's own normal. A late start, a quiet kitchen, a restless night: the kind of drift a phone call misses.
Not a number to decode. “It's been a while since Mum was last active. Worth checking in.” Sent to you when it matters, day or night. When everything is normal, Hearth stays quiet.
The app turns sensor data into a clear picture of Mum's day. This is what it looks like.
Mum was up a little earlier than usual today, around 7:10. She spent most of the morning in the kitchen and lounge, then went out for about 40 minutes after lunch. A calm afternoon, and her activity has stayed close to her usual level this week. Last night was settled, with one trip to the bathroom.

Everything above is in the app today. These are next, and we'll tell waitlist members as each one lands.
One sibling wants every update, another only wants the urgent ones. Each member picks their own.
How long she sits in one place, how settled the night really was, and how the home's temperature tracks against the season.

Hearth senses movement, never images or sound. Only the family you invite can see it, and you choose what's switched on.
No. Hearth uses small motion sensors and a door sensor. They can only tell that something moved, or that the door opened. No cameras, no microphones, no video, no audio.
Five sensors: motion in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and lounge, plus open/closed on the front door. From those, Hearth works out wake time, time in each room, outings, night-time bathroom trips and sleep. You can add sensors for extra rooms, such as a dining room or study, when you join the waitlist.
Nothing. No buttons, nothing to wear, nothing to charge. They carry on as normal.
One subscription: £29.99 a month on the annual plan, or £39.99 a month with a three-month minimum. All the hardware is included, so there's nothing to buy upfront, and the subscription only starts once Hearth is set up at home. Extra room sensors are £4 a month each.
We're not taking orders yet. Build the package you'd want on the packages page and join the waitlist. Every Hearth is paired and tested for a particular home before it ships, so we bring homes on in small batches. When yours is ready we email you to confirm the details and send a payment link. Nothing is charged before then.
Cancel the subscription and send the kit back. We pay the postage, refurbish the hardware and pass it on to another family. You never pay for equipment you're not using.
Only the family members you invite. The sensors notice that something moved, or that the front door opened, and that's all they can notice. Hearth turns those moments into the picture you see in the app. The detail of how it's all protected is on our Privacy & Trust page.
Each evening, Hearth writes a short plain-English note on the day: when Mum got up, how the day went, how last night was. It's on from the start and you can switch it off at any time in Settings. Only the day's headline figures (wake time, room visits, outings) are used to write it. With it switched off you still get the dashboard, patterns and alerts.
Yes. Invite the care circle by email. Each person gets their own login, sees the same dashboard and gets the same alerts. There's no limit on members.
Yes. The hub plugs into the router with the included cable, or joins the home WiFi from your phone during setup. If the WiFi changes or your parent moves, you can reconnect it from the app. The sensors themselves use a separate low-power wireless signal, not WiFi.
In most homes the sensors reach the hub comfortably. In a large house, or one with thick stone walls, a far room can sit at the edge of range. Tell us about the layout when you join the waitlist and we'll plan for it before yours ships.
About 15 minutes. Plug in the hub, stick each labelled sensor in its room (adhesive, no drilling), scan the QR code with your phone and follow the short setup guide. The sensors are already paired before they arrive.
Hearth needs a connection to reach you, so if it stops hearing from the hub for 15 minutes it tells the care circle. That way a silent hub is never mistaken for a quiet day. When the connection returns, you're told that too.
